It was an hour before opening time and owner Bill Esposito performed a final walk-through of both dining rooms at Bianca's Ristorante Italiano & Pizzeria.

He spoke to his employees to make sure everything was working and ready to go.

It's all part of Esposito's effort to bring top-notch customer service to every guest who walks through the doors of his restaurant in North Fort Myers.

• Bianca's has two full dining rooms for seating customers. This dining room is prepared shortly before the restaurant opened for dinner.

"We don't treat people like a number here. Everybody that comes here is a guest. I treat you the same as if you were in my own house," Esposito said. "My No. 1 concern is walking around this entire restaurant and making sure the customer is satisfied 100 percent of the time."

The Italian eatery, at Tamiami Plaza, 16251 N. Cleveland Ave., has been open for 11 years. Esposito and his wife, Stacy, took over the business several months ago and plan to maintain the restaurant's strong reputation in the community.

"I found this beautiful place where the previous owner had it for 11 years and created a wonderful place," Esposito said. "It won for Best Italian Restaurant for seven years straight. I decided I could take something that was already gold and make it platinum."

The eatery specializes in the finest authentic Italian meals. Born and raised in New York, Esposito said his meals are beyond reproach and guaranteed to fill you up.

"When you get your plate here, you get beautiful plates and most go home with lunch for tomorrow. Our biggest complaint is probably that are plates are too big," Esposito said.

North Fort Myers resident Cricket Laslow recently stopped in to pick up a gift certificate. She recently dined at the restaurant with her son.

"We thought it was great. We had no problems," Laslow said. "I was surprised by how fast our meals were made. I would highly recommend this place and I've been to a lot of Italian restaurants. They're good."

Esposito kept most of the employees that were at the restaurant. He said his 21 years of active duty help bring his employees together.

"I like to bring my leadership and management experience to the restaurant as well as discipline and love," Esposito said. "I think that I took a bunch of good folks here and made a better, more cohesive team. They all have a special feeling about themselves that when they come to work they know that what they do here is part of the overall success of what we do here
