Basix Goods started in
1968 when Chris Birchfield began designing and manufacturing
totes, luggage,
& handbags. After 36 years the business was sold and Chris, Steve and
their
pets moved to Florida. Finding retirement dull they decided to return to
retailing.
The first BASIX store opened Feb 17, 2006 in Punta Gorda, FL.
Chris designed a new line
of totes and carryon bags. She also added fun &
functional home goods, along with
uniquely selected american antiques.
Englewood was their location of the second
Florida store. A Maine store is
located at the Pillars in Yarmouth.
All three stores have Chris's basix core
of goods,
her personality and a special taste in design - decor. |
